Bridgewest Group Expands Global Leadership Team with Key Appointments
22 May 2025
Miami, May 22, 2025 – Bridgewest Group, a global private investment firm renowned for fostering innovation in life sciences, software, and deep tech, has strengthened its leadership with two strategic appointments. Chandima Mendis has been named Global Head of Fixed Income, and Evan Wilson has been promoted to Global Head of Real Estate. These leadership moves reinforce Bridgewest Group’s commitment to growth, diversification, and excellence across its investment sectors.
Chandima Mendis: Expanding Fixed Income Leadership
Mendis has played a pivotal role in shaping Bridgewest Group’s fixed income strategy for over a decade. As President of Bridgewest Capital, he spearheaded investment initiatives across cash management, bond trading, and private lending. His expertise has been instrumental in guiding the firm’s portfolio companies through complex capital market activities.
With a distinguished career in institutional asset management—including roles at AXA and Fortis Investments—Mendis has successfully managed multi-billion-dollar international investment portfolios. His deep knowledge of emerging markets, bonds, and currencies has been a key driver of the firm’s financial success.
“Chandima has been a cornerstone of Bridgewest Group’s financial strength,” said Dr. Masood Tayebi, Founding Partner and CEO of Bridgewest Group. “His leadership ensures a vital revenue stream and strategic diversification for our firm, adding value both domestically and internationally.”
Mendis emphasized the firm’s ongoing expansion: “I am honored to lead our talented team. We are scaling our lending businesses in key markets like Australia and New Zealand, and we have successfully integrated AI into our investment process, enhancing efficiency and returns. Delivering outstanding performance in the best interest of our clients remains our top priority.”
Evan Wilson: Driving Global Real Estate Growth
“Evan has been the backbone of our real estate success,” said Tayebi. “His deep industry knowledge and strategic vision will be invaluable as we embark on new developments, including the launch of our hospitality brand overseas.”
Previously serving as Vice President of Real Estate, Wilson was responsible for asset management, capital deployment, and fostering strong relationships with property managers, leasing agents, and city officials. His background also includes leading his own successful commercial real estate brokerage, where he identified investment opportunities across multiple U.S. markets.
“This new role is meaningful to me on multiple levels,” said Wilson. “I look forward to leveraging my experience to expand our global holdings and drive the success of our new real estate ventures abroad.”
Strategic Growth and Innovation
With these appointments, Bridgewest Group reaffirms its commitment to leadership excellence and global expansion. “We deeply value Chandima and Evan’s contributions and are thrilled to elevate them to these key positions,” said Tayebi. “Their leadership will help propel Bridgewest Group’s continued growth and success across multiple sectors.”
